About Us
WHO WE ARE
​
Loyola Racing is the official Baja SAE collegiate design team for Loyola University Maryland. We are a student-run, not-for-profit, engineering design team that specializes in designing, building, and racing off-road vehicles. We race each and every season in the hopes of bringing home the gold for our school! Our team is open to all students regardless of class year, major, or level of experience. Anyone who is as passionate about motorsports as we are will always be welcomed here!
HOW WE STARTED

Loyola Racing started with five undergraduate students and a bright dream back in 2017. For two years these students laid the groundwork for a motorsports team in the hopes of racing their senior year. Even though Covid-19 cut their senior season short in 2020, they would have crushed it in competition!
WHAT WE DO
​
The Baja SAE collegiate design series is an enriching, hands-on learning experience for college students who are passionate about all things motorsports. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of engineering excellence by applying the knowledge we have learned in the classroom and skills gained through our industry experience to produce some of the best all-terrain vehicles seen at the undergraduate level. Our members gain valuable experience in areas such as project management, research, CAD design, vehicle fabrication, data acquisition & analysis, business planning, and team finances.
